THE FINAL ANIMATIC

The final animatic can be viewed here:

Overall, I am happy with how the animatic turned out and am incredibly proud of the pacing and the suspense. There are a few shots that I felt could be altered to be more effective or some drawings that could be fixed for continuity, though they are small details that weren’t picked up during peer-review. I also think the window could’ve been emphasised more as it’s an important symbol of hope for Tai’s character and responsible for the fatal twist at the end where the sky turned out to be a large billboard about hope. Maybe this could be fixed by including more shots of the window during the build-up with repetition.

Though not by a lot, I went over the 40-second time limit in order to create a comprehensible animatic that wasn’t too fast. The story itself is not simple enough to be compressed into something too short so if I had chosen a simpler storyline then the animatic would probably fit into 40 seconds. This made me realise the importance of choosing/writing a storyline with consideration to the time limit given.
