SHOOTING

1/12/2020

With my camera and tripod, I set out to shoot the videos according to what I planned on my storyboard.

In order to achieve the flickering light effect like I had planned, I thought the flickering effect of me turning the lights on would work, although it seemed like it had just gotten fixed as it didn’t flicker.

Instead, I used a concert light stick that had different flicker settings and I quite liked the results.

After shooting everything and transferring the files to my computer, I encountered a huge problem…

One shot turned out quite similar to how I planned it, which was good.

However, the rest of the footages were riddled with noise.

I was surprised and disappointed. I thought I had been careful when monitoring the shots and changing the settings as well as reviewing each take to see if they were clear. The colours also seemed off compared to the test photos I took on my phone.

I will have to retake everything, although I have to figure out how to fix this problem before trying again.

With a more careful eye on the ISO and the aperture, I reshot the footages that didn’t turn out well as well as edited the shots to make the overall composition more interesting.
