GETTING STARTED – EQUIPMENT

30/11/2020

I had left my lightbox in the UK, so I had no choice but to order another (What I will do with two light boxes is something to be dealt with later), though another issue was that I did not have a peg bar.

All the peg bars I could find online were either extremely expensive or made for animation paper which I didn’t have, and had no clue where to look for in Thailand. I then decided to take matters into my own hand.

Fortunately, I found a large barbecue stick that had the same circumference as a hole punch. I cut out a small bit with a knife and used a lollipop stick as the base.

After supergluing everything together, my peg bar was done.

My setup for drawing and line testing looked like this:

Thankfully, I had a tripod that could hold phones so I could keep it steady during line testing.
